We all have a large bank of songs in our head that take us back to places, people and incidents from our past and My Tunes is a discussion group where members can share these memories and songs.

Participants can bring 2 or 3 pieces of music on their phone/ tablet /MP3 player/iPod which can be connected to a speaker or they can bring a cd to be played of a portable cd player (provided). Participants will take it in turn at introducing the song and briefly telling us why the song means something to them and the piece will be played (if a very long piece then sometimes just an excerpt will be played depending on available time) then other participants can ask questions or comment further on the piece they've just heard. The genre or era of the music doesn't matter … it's YOUR memory and YOUR tune... it doesn't even have to be a song you like...in fact you might hate it because of what or who it reminds you of! If you don't possess the specific tune you want to play, then if possible, we will try to locate it via Spotify or YouTube etc.

As well as sharing music and memories with each other, it might even be a chance to discover songs, artists or genres of music we might not have encountered before and MAYBE YOUR tune might become MY tune!’
