William Dyer This is an old photo of mine, of the chapel at the roundabout (Barrhead) in Spring with the cherry blossom on the trees.
I used a Pentax with colour extraction, which makes everything B&W , the exception being the red spectrum.
William Dyer Crofthead Mill was established in Broadlie, Neilston, opened in 1792.
The original buildings burned down in 1883 and rebuilt with the current buildings which are on the Listed building register. In 1900 it employed more than 1500 workers most of whom were female.
It finally closed in 1992 and is currently used by Murdoch Waste Management Services.
William Dyer-The “Craigie”, or Craig of Carnock is the site of an Iron Age hill fort named Duncarnock dated between 1200 and 700 BCE and is situated above the Glanderston dam. There is a Trig point on top of the outcrop, 669 feet above sea level. The local myth would have you believe, Mary Queen of Scots watched the battle of Langside from her vantage point on top of the Craigie.

The Geese and their 9 Goslings. They kept following me and obviously wanted their photo taken, so I had to! Just set to auto - which made the colours a bit more vibrant.

Chisholm Mccrae- Ruken Glen in Autumn . I used this as I haven't had time to take new ones but I decided to show the pond in the different seasons. I have adjusted lighting and cropped each of them. No other adjustments.

Janice Mackenzie - Greenbank House, built by Robert Allason, in the 1760s. He made his money as a tobacco merchant and slave trader. After the American War of Independence he went bankrupt and lost the house and estate.

Janice Mackenzie-The Green Man- for centuries. The Green Man has been a symbol of rebirth representing the cycle of growth each spring. No two Green Men are the same but they all feature a face or head surrounded by, or made from leaves and foliage. This Green Man was commissioned to celebrate 250 years of Greenbank house and garden.
John Milne-Crofthead Mill, Neilston. Changed to black and white only. Historic industry dating back to the 18th century.

Brenda Havell- a well known landmark in Netherlee.
Brenda Havell- St Bridget's Church . The church is off Polnoon Street in Eaglesham. There is a lovely garden and worth a visit.

Vicky Blainey- The Carswell Centre in Eaglesham is a historic Gothic style building, formerly the Carswell United Presbyterian Church built on 1867 , it now serves a community hub. It is also home to the Gemmell Statutes collection which features carved statues of local characters by the Victorian artist William Gemmell.
Vicky Blainey- Maxwell Mearns Church . The tower house is a listed category A building built in the 15th century. it was converted for church use in the late 1960s and a new church was then built next to it in the 1970s. The tower is no longer in use.
