Amblers

1st Wednesday and 3rd Monday of each month

This group enjoys gentle strolls in the parks of East Renfrewshire and Glasgow. The walking is at a leisurely pace and and is suitable even for those who have somewhat limited mobility. After a stroll of about 30 minutes we adjourn to a local cafe for tea/coffee and chat.

Come and join us and enjoy the walking and the chat! Please make sure that you have carefully considered our Personal Risk Assessment before attending.

The May ambles are as follows:

Wednesday May 6th

Newlands Park – Meet at the park entrance on Kilmarnock Rd/ Beverley Road at 10.30am. In the park take the 1st right up the hill and then down round by the pond. This is a short walk and could be done twice. The Dandelion café is situated in the park behind the tennis courts. Meet there at 11am if not participating in the walk: you can park in Lubnaig Road which has an entrance to the park near the cafe.

Monday May 18th:

James Hamilton Memorial Park, East Kilbride. Meet in cafe car park by the shore of the lake (i.e. as far as the road will allow vehicles to go). Walk round the lake once or twice then return to the cafe for coffee & chat.
